Ausbrooks and Frank Lead the Red Level Class of 2024

*The Andalusia Star-News* May 26, 2024 Red Level High School celebrated the graduation of the Class of 2024 on Friday evening in a ceremony held on the football field. Valedictorian Emily Ausbrooks and Salutatorian Sarah Frank led the 39 graduates as they turned the tassel on their caps to symbolize their achievement. Ausbrooks delivered an inspiring speech, reflecting on the challenges and accomplishments of the past four years. She emphasized the importance of embracing both the successes and failures that shaped them along the way. “As we leave the halls of Red Level High School, let us carry with us the lessons we have learned, the friendships we have made, and the memories that will last a lifetime,” Ausbrooks said. Frank, in her salutatory address, highlighted the resilience and determination of the class. She acknowledged the challenges students faced during the COVID-19 pandemic and commended their ability to overcome them. “This class has faced obstacles and emerged stronger than ever before,” Frank said. “We have learned the value of perseverance, adaptability, and the power of community.” Principal Jason Hill presented the diplomas to each graduate, recognizing their hard work and dedication. “We are incredibly proud of this class and the young adults they have become,” Hill said. The ceremony concluded with the turning of the tassels and the singing of the alma mater. The graduates tossed their caps into the air as a symbol of their transition into the next chapter of their lives. ANDALUSIA, Ala. – Red Level High School principal Malissa Jones announced the top students in the Class of 2024. Salutatorian is Baleigh Ausbrooks, and Valedictorian is Ellee Frank. Ausbrooks, 17, is the daughter of Scott and Amanda Ausbrooks of Red Level. She is the President of the Beta Club and Vice-President of the Spanish Honor Society. She is also a member of the Senior Beta Club, National Honor Society, Science Club, Key Club, and Book Club. Ausbrooks’ favorite memory from her time at Red Level is winning the 2A state championship in volleyball in 2020. She will attend the University of South Alabama in the fall to major in nursing. Frank, 17, is the daughter of Steven and Melinda Frank of Red Level. She is the President of the National Honor Society and a member of the Beta Club, Science Club, and Book Club. Frank’s favorite memory from her time at Red Level is winning the 2A state championship in softball in 2021. She will attend Auburn University in the fall to major in biomedical sciences.
