Free Teacher Weeks at Portland Art MuseumFree Teacher Weeks at Portland Art Museum In collaboration with various museums in Oregon and Washington, the Portland Art Museum invites educators to enjoy free admission from July 28 to August 10. Participating Museums and Programs: Aurora Colony Museum and Historical Society: * Educational Tour and Overview, July 31, 1:00-3:00 PM Five Oaks Museum: * Teacher Tour and Resource Exchange, August 10, 10:30-12:00 PM Japanese American Museum of Oregon: * Guided Tours and Resource Sharing, July 30 and August 6, 1:00-2:30 PM Lan Su Chinese Garden: * Educator Tour followed by tea and resource sharing, August 2, 1:00-2:30 PM Maryhill Museum of Art: * Docent’s Tour and Refreshments, followed by a discussion, August 10, 1:00 PM Oregon Historical Society: * Teachers’ Tours and Teacher Resources Overview, July 30 and August 6, 10:00 AM-12:00 PM Pittock Mansion: * Educational Tour and Resources, August 7, 10:30-12:00 PM Portland Chinatown Museum: * Docent Tour, August 2, 11:00-12:30 PM Eligibility and Registration: To receive free admission, simply identify yourself as a docent at the front desk of any participating museum. For events and tours that require registration, please follow the instructions provided in the museum listings. Note: * Museums have varying opening hours. * The Portland Art Museum offers an Educator Welcome and Tour on August 8 from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM. Register here.

Welcome, educators! You are invited to visit us nine museums in Oregon and Washington free from July 28 – August 10!

The Portland Art Museum is proud to partner with Aurora Colony Museum and Historical Society, Five Oaks Museum, Japanese American Museum of Oregon, Lan Su Chinese Garden, Maryhill Museum of Art, Oregon Historical Society, Pittock Mansion, and Portland Chinatown Museum to offer free admission plus docent-focused events and tours. Simply identify yourself as a docent at the front desk to receive one free admission. Please note that the museums have varying opening hours. Visit their websites for more information.
