Only two teams in the SEC (Alabama and Oklahoma) have more total commitments than the Georgia Bulldogs after Georgia added a commitment from four-star offensive line recruit Cortez Smith. Georgia now has 21 commitments in the recruiting cycle for the Class of 2025.

Head coach Kirby Smart and Georgia football are bringing in another elite recruiting class. The Bulldogs have one of the best 2025 classes in the SEC and the country. A few other top Georgia Bulldogs recruiting targets have announced commitments for late July and August.

The SEC has six of the nation’s top 10 recruiting classes in the Class of 2025, including three of the top four. Recruiting in the SEC has become even more competitive with the addition of Texas and Oklahoma to the SEC.

Vanderbilt Commodores

Three-star safety Carson Lawrence remains Vanderbilt’s top commitment in the 2025 class, but recruiting remains a hurdle for Vanderbilt’s football program. The Commodores need an influx of talent to compete in the SEC.

Four-star wide receiver Ventrell Brown is Florida’s top prospect in the 2025 class. The Gators scored a much-needed recruiting win when Brown committed to Florida on July 21.

Rebels from Mississippi

At this rate, the Rebels will have to rely on the transfer portal again this year. Four-star safety Keon Young is Ole Miss’s biggest commitment.

Mississippi State Bulldogs

The Mississippi State Bulldogs’ top commit is four-star receiver Ferzell Shepard. The Bulldogs don’t have a particularly exciting 2025 class, but they do have a few commitments from top junior college recruits.

Arkansas Razorbacks

Total number of obligations: 16

Four-star linebacker Tavion Wallace is Arkansas’ highest-rated commitment. The Razorbacks were quiet in July after adding a commitment from Wallace.

South Carolina Fighting Cocks

Total number of obligations: 19

The Gamecocks have been on a rebound since four-star cornerback Shamari Earls transferred from South Carolina to Georgia in July. The Gamecocks’ top commitment in the 2025 class is four-star receiver Lex Cyrus.

Kentucky Wildcats

Texas Longhorns

Four-star defensive back Lance Jackson is Texas’ highest-rated commit in the 2025 class. The Longhorns are poised to climb the recruiting rankings and have a very high average commitment rating (91.18), but it’s still surprising to see the Longhorns ranked so low.
