Nashville, TN – The legendary Dolly Parton has announced that her life story will be adapted into a Broadway musical, titled “Hello, I’m Dolly.” The production is set to premiere in New York in the fall of 2026. “Hello, I’m Dolly” will feature an original score and story, both inspired by Parton’s extraordinary life and career. The musical will delve into her humble beginnings in rural Tennessee, her rise to stardom as a country music icon, and her philanthropic endeavors. The production will be directed by Tony Award winner Michael Mayer (“Hedwig and the Angry Inch,” “Spring Awakening”), with a book by David Lindsay-Abaire (“Rabbit Hole,” “Good People”).
