The UK’s largest family, the Radfords, have been capturing hearts since they first appeared on screen in 2012. They’ve never stopped expanding their family and keeping their followers updated on social media.
The Radfords had hoped to live in this beautiful country estate (
Sue and Noel Radford, stars of 22 Kids and Counting, gave a glimpse into the beautiful farmhouse they’ve always dreamed of owning in their latest YouTube vlog.
Britain’s largest family, the Radfords, shot to fame in 2021 when their Channel 5 reality show debuted, and they’ve allowed cameras back into their home for season five on Sunday. In upcoming scenes, Noel decides to investigate his biological family, Millie shares some big personal news, and young Casper takes centre stage as he decides to follow his footballing dreams.
They currently live with their huge brood in a 10-bedroom mansion in Morecambe, but had big plans to buy a new £850,000 country house in the picturesque countryside. However, the couple recently received the devastating news that the sale of the house had fallen through and Sue has now given up on her dream.

The living room has a beautiful fireplace and lots of character (
Sue, along with husband Noel, heads up the colossal Radford clan, which includes Chris, 35, Sophie, 30, Chloe, 28, Jack, 27, Daniel, 25, Luke, 23, Millie, 22, Katie, 21, James, 20, Ellie, 19, Aimee, 18, Josh, 17, Max, 15, Tillie, 14, Oscar, 12, Casper, 11, Hallie, nine, Phoebe, seven, Archie, six, Bonnie, five, and Heidie, four. Tragically, their 17th child, Alfie, was stillborn in 2014.
Sue and Noel upload their vlog to YouTube on the same night their Channel 5 show airs, taking a look around the farmhouse they were keen to buy and giving their fans their first look inside.
Situated in the countryside the views surrounding the property were breathtaking (
As they wander around the grounds, Sue says: “I can really see us living here, it’s everything we want.” Speaking to the camera, Sue says: “It’s a different way of life,” while Noel joins in, noting: “There are fields all around us, a bit of our own garden.”
The estate is surrounded by rolling fields which offer stunning views for miles. The extensive garden and grounds would have given their children plenty of space to run around and play. Noel also noted that the children could “enjoy their own plants” and “come into the greenhouse”.
The hall of the building was very impressive(
Inside the property was well presented and incredibly spacious. An impressive wooden staircase was the main feature in the hallway, the bedrooms were full of character with brightly coloured walls in a variety of textures and patterns, from the bedding to the wallpaper and curtains.
The kitchen looked more monotonous with a white and grey colour theme. The integrated appliances made the layout look smart and there was ample cupboard and worktop space for their large family to cook in.

Unfortunately, a surprising “development” causes their chain to snap, dashing Sue’s hopes of a house in the country. The moment Noel receives a call from the estate agent with the bad news is caught on camera. Upon hearing the chain had snapped, Noel’s only response was to say “F**k sake” as he rushed home to share the bad news with Sue.
When the sale fell through, Sue was devastated. She said: “We were just absolutely devastated, we’re not going to get that country life, it’s just been really hard.”

Noel added: “It’s taken the wind out of her sails and she’s feeling really down and fed up. We’ve just put the whole thing on hold.”
Sue told earlier OK!. “When it failed, it was really awful, but sometimes you think these things happen for a reason and I think it just wasn’t meant to be. It was annoying when it happened. The move was an emotional event.”
The Radford Family (
The failed move is just one of the rollercoaster moments the Radfords experience together in their new Channel Five series. Noel’s search for his biological roots, Millie’s big personal announcement, the expectation of another child and Casper’s determination to pursue his football dreams all stir the pot this season.
