Her condition deteriorated, and she was transferred to the Government Medical College Hospital. Tragically, Krishna succumbed to her injuries on Sunday morning at the medical college. Her family has filed a case of medical negligence against the doctor at the taluk hospital. The doctor, however, has reportedly denied administering the injection. However, Krishna’s brother claims to have recorded a voice clip in which the doctor admits to having done so. The Kattakkada police have registered a case against the doctor based on the family’s complaint. An investigation is currently underway to determine the exact circumstances surrounding Krishna’s death. This incident raises concerns about the quality of care provided at government hospitals and highlights the importance of considering patients’ medical history before administering injections or other treatments.

Thiruvananthapuram: A woman died after allegedly receiving an injection at the Neyyattinkara Government Taluk Hospital here. The deceased has been identified as Krishna Thankappan (28), a resident of Kattakkada. Krishna was rushed to the hospital’s emergency room on Saturday after she could not bear stomach pain.

Her relatives alleged that the doctor on duty gave Krishna an injection without considering her asthma and allergies.

Speaking to Manorama News, the woman’s brother claimed that she was not in a critical condition when she was taken to the hospital. Krishna reportedly fell unconscious after the doctor gave her an injection. When her condition worsened, she was shifted to the Government Medical College Hospital. The family filed a case of medical negligence against the doctor at the taluk hospital after Krishna breathed her last during treatment at the medical college on Sunday morning.

However, Manorama News reported that the doctor claimed that he had not given the injection to the patient. But Krishna’s brother said that he had recorded a voice clip in which the doctor can be heard confessing to having given the injection. The Kattakkada police have registered a case against the doctor on the family’s complaint.
