TODAY: Thursday will be very mild, with low humidity along with highs in the low 80s. Expect mostly sunny skies and a light northeast wind around 5 mph.
TONIGHT: The sky will remain mostly clear. Temperatures will drop to the 50s and 60s with a light breeze from the northeast.
EXTENDED: Friday will be just as cool, with low humidity and highs in the low 80s under mostly sunny skies. The high pressure at the surface that keeps us cool will slowly dissipate over the weekend. Clouds will increase from the west on Saturday ahead of showers near Kansas City. A few showers could hit our western counties by late evening, but most will remain dry. Shower chances will be low by Sunday as the low pressure approaches. With a persistent and nearly stationary trough overhead, chances for isolated to scattered showers will return each day through the middle of next week, with daily high temperatures slowly climbing into the mid 80s.
