The Flights ‘N’ Flowers all-inclusive tour, which included access to Butchart Gardens, has been suspended due to lower-than-expected demand. However, scheduled flights between Vancouver and Patricia Bay will resume on September 16. This service provides Peninsula passengers with a convenient 30-minute flight option to downtown Vancouver. Harbour Air will continue to offer private charter flights and alternative travel options to Butchart Gardens via its Victoria flights. Customers with reservations for the suspended routes will be contacted by Harbour Air to discuss alternative travel options or refunds. As North America’s largest seaplane company, Harbour Air operates a fleet of 45 aircraft and offers a wide range of scheduled flights, sightseeing tours, adventure packages, and private flights.

Seaplane company plans to resume flights to Saanich Peninsula in September

Flower power is proving less popular than expected as Harbour Air has suspended special flights between Vancouver and Butchart Gardens.

The seaplane business introduced flights between Vancouver and the Saanich Peninsula in late May – both at the popular tourist attraction in Central Saanich and at Patricia Bay in North Saanich. The Butchart Gardens trip was called Flights ‘N’ Flowers, an all-inclusive tour that included two hours of access to the gardens.

“We regularly review our flight network and bookings to ensure we are flying to the most popular destinations for our customers throughout the year. As part of this review, Harbour Air has decided to suspend scheduled flights between Vancouver and Butchart Gardens and Vancouver and Patricia Bay during the summer months,” read a statement from Harbour Air Media Relations in response to a request from Black Press Media. “We will continue to offer private charter flights and alternative travel options to visit Butchart Gardens on our various Victoria flight frequencies.”

Harbour Air plans to resume Vancouver-Patricia Bay service on September 16, providing Peninsula passengers with 30-minute flights to downtown Vancouver.

Customers with a booking for these planned route changes will be contacted by Harbour Air or their booking agent to advise them of any possible next steps, alternative travel options or refunds.

Harbour Air is North America’s largest seaplane company with a fleet of 45 aircraft and up to 300 daily scheduled flights, sightseeing flights, adventure packages and private flights.
