The luxury residential complex will feature 144 homes ranging in size from 4,000 to over 10,000 square feet, as well as move-in ready luxury villas. Designed by Gomez Vazquez International and Studio Lifestyle, the homes will offer exceptional amenities, including a private Jack Nicklaus Signature golf course, a spa, and a fitness center. IHG Launches Energy-Efficient Hotel Program IHG Hotels & Resorts has introduced its Low Carbon Pioneers program, aiming to promote sustainability in the hospitality industry. The program will identify energy-efficient hotels that operate without fossil fuels and rely solely on renewable energy sources. Participating hotels will implement sustainable practices such as using heat pumps, fully electric kitchens, and sustainable building certifications. Sonesta Opens Dual-Brand Hotel in Atlantic City Sonesta has expanded its portfolio with the opening of a dual-branded hotel in Atlantic City, New Jersey. The 140-room Sonesta Essential Atlantic City West and the upcoming Sonesta Simply Suites Atlantic City offer guests a range of amenities for both short-term and extended stays. The properties are conveniently located near the airport and local attractions. The Victoria in Harlem Secures $148 Million Refinance The Victoria, a multi-tower project in Harlem, New York City, has secured $148 million in loan proceeds arranged by Walker & Dunlop, Inc. The project includes a Marriott-branded Renaissance Hotel, luxury residences, and retail space. Once completed in Q3 2023, The Victoria is expected to be Harlem’s tallest building. Dalata Debuts Maldron Hotel in Liverpool Dalata Hotel Group has opened the Maldron Hotel Liverpool, marking its debut in the city. The 268-room hotel boasts a contemporary design and offers a variety of amenities, including a bar, restaurant, and gym. Maldron Hotel Liverpool is the group’s 55th hotel and one of four new hotels opening in the UK this year.

ROSEWOOD UNVEILS HOMES IN MEXICO: Rosewood Hotels & Resorts has announced its new residential offering, Rosewood Residences Old Lighthouse in Los Cabos, Mexico, in partnership with the Coppel family. Spanning 550 acres on the southernmost edge of the Baja Peninsula, it marks Rosewood’s first fully branded, independent living community. Built in 1905, El Faro Viejo “The Old Lighthouse” sits atop the cliffs and is the oldest surviving structure in the region. The site has been preserved by the Coppel family for over 25 years. The luxury residential development will feature 144 homes ranging in size from 4,000 to over 10,000 square feet, as well as move-in ready luxury villas. The homes are being curated by architects Gomez Vazquez International and interior designers Studio Lifestyle. The oceanfront property will also feature entertainment and meeting spaces designed by architect Manuel Cervantes Céspedes and interior designer Bibiana Huber Diaz. Services and amenities include a fine dining restaurant with private dining room, a bar with live entertainment, an outdoor events facility, a beach club, multiple swimming pools, beachside dining, a spa, sports courts and a fitness center. Residents will also have access to a private Jack Nicklaus Signature golf course and practice facility. Sales will commence later this year. Rosewood Residences’ current portfolio comprises 11 branded residences, with a pipeline of 22 further developments to be announced over the next seven years.

IHG LAUNCHES ENERGY-EFFICIENT HOTEL COMMUNITY: IHG Hotels & Resorts has launched its Low Carbon Pioneers program, which brings together energy-efficient hotels that use no fossil fuels and are powered by renewable energy. This group of hotels with low operational carbon emissions will help the hotel group test, learn and share findings on sustainability measures. IHG plans to inspire more hotels to join the program. The first Low Carbon Pioneer hotels are Holiday Inn Express Madrid Airport in Spain, Iberostar Waves Cristina in Spain and Kimpton BEM Budapest in Hungary. Low Carbon Pioneer hotels will feature sustainable solutions such as highly efficient heat pumps for heating and hot water and fully electric kitchens. Hotels will also have an operational sustainability certification recognized by the Global Sustainable Tourism Council, such as Green Key, or a sustainable building certification such as LEED, BREEAM or EDGE. These hotels will use IHG’s Green Engage platform to track and measure their energy data.

SONESTA’S DUAL-BRAND OFFERING: Sonesta expands its portfolio with the recent opening of a dual-branded hotel in Atlantic City, NJ. The 140-room, upper-midscale Sonesta Essential Atlantic City West has opened and will be dual-branded with Sonesta Simply Suites Atlantic City, opening later this summer. The property is located four miles from Atlantic City International Airport and close to local attractions. Sonesta Essential offers guests essential amenities for their stay, such as elevated bedding, free Wi-Fi and hot breakfast, a fitness center and all-day coffee.

$148M REFI FOR THE VICTORIA IN HARLEM: Walker & Dunlop, Inc. has arranged $148 million in loan proceeds to refinance The Victoria, a multi-tower, 30-story project. Originally built around Harlem’s Victoria Theater in Upper Manhattan, The Victoria includes a 211-room Marriott-branded Renaissance Hotel, 191 luxury residences and more than 235,000 square feet of premier retail space. The project is scheduled to be completed in Q3 2023 and will be Harlem’s tallest building. The property also has 52 underground parking spaces.

DALATA DEBUTES IN LIVERPOOL: Dalata Hotel Group, the Irish hotel operator, has strengthened its position in the UK and continental Europe with the opening of the Maldron Hotel Liverpool. The 268-room hotel marks Dalata’s debut in Liverpool. The hotel also features a bar, restaurant and gym. Maldron Hotel Liverpool is the 55the and one of four new hotels opening in the UK this year, further expanding Dalata’s presence in the region, which includes four hotels in Manchester.
