Join us this month as we explore mash-ups. A mash-up is the process of taking two different writing genres and styles and mashing them together. As readers, we like to put everything into genres and categories so that we know what we’re getting when we choose a book. But we also crave the new, the original, and the exciting. We want the familiar, but are drawn to the unfamiliar. Mash-ups give you the opportunity to explore different styles and put a fresh spin on a story that may have gotten a little stale. One of the fastest ways to beat a writing slump is with a mash-up. In class, we’ll be doing written exercises to create new content. Join us on Wednesdays, August 7, 14, 21, and 28, 2024 from 12:00-2:00 PM to create your own mash-ups.
