The Nuggies are a playful mashup of two iconic items: the beloved Chicken McNuggets and the popular Australian winter boots that have become a fashion staple. Designed in the shape of the classic McNuggets, they feature a crispy, golden-brown exterior and a soft, fur-like lining. Each pair of Nuggies comes packaged in a large jar of Macca’s Sauce, complete with a removable lid for a memorable unboxing experience. McDonald’s Australia’s Senior Brand Manager, Liz Whitbread, expressed excitement about the Nuggies’ return: “There is a big debate about what is the best shape for a Chicken McNugget: the bone, the bell, the ball, or the boot? Crowned as the ultimate dip icon, we’re celebrating the humble boot-shaped Chicken McNugget by bringing back one of our most coveted merchandise collections…this time we’re giving away even more.” Nuggies first launched in 2022 as a super limited edition giveaway and quickly sold out within six hours. This time around, McDonald’s is giving away more pairs to satisfy the demand. Customers can purchase Chicken McNuggets at Macca’s restaurants nationwide via drive-thru, kiosk, counter, the MyMacca’s app, or McDelivery. The contest runs until 3pm on August 6th.

From 7am on Wednesday, customers can dip their toes in the water with one of 2,000 free, limited edition Nuggies as part of Macca’s #BootPursuit giveaway.
To enter the #BootPursuit, customers simply need to find a boot-shaped Chicken McNugget, follow the QR code on the packaging and scan the McNugget for a chance to win a pair.
Nuggies combine two icons: one of Macca’s classic menu items, Chicken McNuggets, with the iconic Australian winter boot that has taken the fashion world by storm.
Golden brown, crispy and delicious, the Nuggies design is a delightful reminder of the beloved dip snack.
