Pima County is teaming up with educational institutions and public sector employers to host a job fair on Thursday, July 18th from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Kino Event Center, located at 2805 E. Departments from Pima County that will be present at the job fair include Parks and Recreation, Juvenile Court, Clerk of Court, Public Health, Public Defender Services, Office of Digital Inclusion, Appraiser, Community Resources and Workforce Development, and many more. Other employers expected to attend include SunTran, Pima Community College, Sahuarita Unified School District, Tucson Police Department, Tucson Unified School District, Oro Valley Police Department, Vail School District, and Customs and Border Protection. Hugh Giblin, who previously attended a job fair, expressed his satisfaction with the experience. He is now employed as a business systems analyst in Pima County’s information technology department. Giblin emphasized the importance of speaking with the employees to gain valuable insights. To facilitate job applications, the county will provide computers at the event. Hugh Giblin said he had been looking for another job for some time before deciding to attend a county job fair

Giblin is now working as a business systems analyst in Pima County’s information technology department and is glad he didn’t miss the job fair.

“I thought, ‘Well, okay, let’s talk to real people. And ultimately, I feel like I got into the right company and the right department and the right job.’”

Many departments looking for staff have employees available to answer questions

The province provides computers so that job seekers can apply for jobs on the spot.
