Firce Capital, the Luxembourg franchisee of KFC, has said it will employ around 600 people when all 10 planned fast-food restaurants in the Grand Duchy are open.

Last December, KFC announced plans to open its first branch in Luxembourg in the Belval Plaza shopping center, scheduled to open in October this year.

KFC Luxembourg reported in a press release on Friday that two recruitment days have already been held and that several permanent and temporary contracts have been signed for the opening of the Belval restaurant.

The Belval restaurant will create 70 jobs, said Caroline Berthelot, head of recruitment. “From the first quarter of next year, we will be opening other restaurants with an average of 60 jobs per location, so all applications are welcome, from team member to restaurant manager,” Berthelot added.

KFC will eventually open nine more restaurants in the Grand Duchy. The chain said that a number of leases are being finalized and that details about the locations of the other outlets will be announced soon.
