Islamabad, July 13 (AP) Thousands of supporters of a radical Pakistani political party rallied in the capital Islamabad on Saturday, condemning Israeli attacks in Gaza and urging the government to send more aid to the Palestinians.

The protesters also demanded that Pakistan declare Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu a “terrorist.” There was no immediate response from the government after the rally in the garrison city of Rawalpindi.

Pakistan has no diplomatic relations with Israel. Pakistan has called for a ceasefire in the nine-month war between Israel and Hamas and has sent aid to Palestinians in Gaza in recent months.

Saad Rizvi, leader of the Islamist Tehreek-e-Labiak Pakistan party, which led the demonstration, said the sit-in at the protest would continue until the demands were accepted by the government.
