Cleo Johnson, a 33-year-old resident of Farrell, Pennsylvania, has pleaded guilty in federal court to a charge of trafficking cocaine within 1,000 feet of public housing.

He pleaded guilty to U.S. District Judge Cathy Bissoon on Thursday.

The court was informed that on October 29, 2021, Johnson possessed cocaine base with the intent to distribute within 1,000 feet of a public housing unit. The investigation that led to Johnson’s prosecution was a joint effort between the Mercer County Drug Task Force, the Pennsylvania Attorney General’s Office, the FBI, and ATF.

Johnson now faces a possible prison sentence of one to 40 years and/or a fine of up to $2 million. The actual sentence will be determined by the severity of the offense and Johnson’s prior criminal history.

Judge Bissoon has scheduled the sentencing for November 5, 2024, at which time Johnson’s fate will be decided.
