Sugar Water Opens at Washington Inn

Sugar Water, a new bakery and cafe, has opened its doors at the Washington Inn in Cape May. The cafe offers a variety of pastries, breads, and coffee drinks, as well as a selection of sandwiches and salads. Sugar Water is owned and operated by husband and wife team, John and Mary Smith. John is a trained pastry chef, and Mary has a background in hospitality management. The couple decided to open Sugar Water after spending several years working in the restaurant industry. “We wanted to create a place where people could come to enjoy delicious food and drinks in a relaxed and inviting atmosphere,” said John. “We’re excited to be a part of the Cape May community and to share our passion for food with our guests.” Sugar Water is located at 801 Washington Street in Cape May. The cafe is open daily from 7am to 7pm.

New Center in Salisbury Mall

A new community center is set to open in the Salisbury Mall in Salisbury, Maryland. The center will offer a variety of programs and services for residents of all ages, including after-school programs, senior citizen programs, and fitness classes. The center is being developed by the Salisbury YMCA in partnership with the City of Salisbury. The YMCA will operate the center and provide programming. “We’re excited to be a part of this project and to provide a new resource for the Salisbury community,” said YMCA CEO, Bill Jones. “We believe that the center will be a great place for people to come to learn, grow, and stay healthy.” The new community center is expected to open in the fall of 2023.
