Ang emphasizes the rapid evolution of the ICT distribution market. To align with this, Westcon will prioritize enhancing its service delivery, product portfolio, and partner ecosystem to foster mutual success. Ang brings over 17 years of experience in ICT distribution, having held various leadership roles in product and supplier management, channel sales, and service delivery. Prior to joining Westcon, he served as Director and Head of Channel Sales and Professional Services for Tech Data in Singapore. “We are thrilled that Wee Lee has joined Westcon-Comstor,” said Wilson Ho, managing director of Asia at Westcon. “His expertise and proven leadership will be instrumental in our pursuit of growth in this key Asian market.” Westcon recently reported its financial results for fiscal year 2024, indicating an 8% increase in total revenue to $3.69 billion from $3.42 billion in 2023. This growth reflects the increasing demand for cloud services and cybersecurity solutions globally.

Technology supplier and specialist distributor Westcon-Comstor has appointed Wee Lee Ang as country manager for Singapore to lead the company’s growth strategy.

This appointment follows Westcon’s 12.9 percent growth in the Asia Pacific (APAC) region, the highest revenue growth compared to Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Ang noted that the ICT distribution market is “evolving rapidly”. As such, he revealed that the company will focus on improving its service delivery and product portfolio, as well as strengthening its partner ecosystem to drive mutual success.

Prior to joining Westcon, Ang held leadership roles in product and supplier management, channel sales and service delivery, with a total of 17 years of experience in the ICT distribution industry.

His most recent position was at Tech Data, where he was Director and Head of Channel Sales and Professional Services for Singapore.

“I am delighted that Wee Lee has chosen to join Westcon-Comstor and lead our Westcon Singapore team to help us drive growth here in our key Asian market,” added Wilson Ho, managing director of Asia at Westcon.

Meanwhile, Westcon also recently announced its financial results for fiscal year 2024, showing that total revenue increased by 8 percent to $3.69 billion, compared to $3.42 billion in 2024. This suggests that the market is seeing increasing cloud growth and a global need for cybersecurity solutions.
