The Chief commended Dr. Opoku Prempeh’s dedication and energy in implementing the policy, which he believes makes him an ideal candidate to support Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s leadership and vision for the country. During a visit by Dr. Opoku Prempeh following his unveiling as the NPP’s vice-presidential candidate, Obrempong Hima Dekyi XIV expressed his gratitude for the relief that the Free SHS policy has brought to parents and families. “Initially, we received numerous requests from people seeking support for their wards, but now, with this huge relief, we are no longer burdened. I believe you have what it takes to support Dr. Bawumia, and that is why we as Ahanta men are fully behind you,” he said. Dr. Opoku Prempeh expressed his appreciation for the support and asked for prayers for him and Dr. Bawumia as they campaign for the upcoming elections. “We are grateful for the prayers and support of all Ghanaians. We believe that together, we can build a brighter future for our country,” he said. Dr. Opoku Prempeh was announced as the NPP vice-presidential candidate on Tuesday, July 9. He has been actively campaigning alongside Dr. Bawumia, advocating for their policies and vision for Ghana’s development.

Obrempong Hima Dekyi XIV expressed these sentiments during a visit by the vice-presidential candidate on Wednesday, July 10, following the unveiling of Dr. Opoku Prempeh in Kumasi the day before.

Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh expressed his appreciation for the warm reception and asked for prayers for him and Dr. Bawumia as they travel around the country to advocate their cause before the Ghanaian people.
The NPP vice-presidential candidate was announced on Tuesday, July 9, and has since been busy campaigning for his boss Dr. Bawumia.
