The incident occurred on July 3, 2024, at a home on Washington Meadows Lane in Fayetteville, Pennsylvania. Schultz was arrested and charged with the aforementioned crimes after failing to post $100,000 bail. According to the Washington Township Police Department (WTPD), officers responded to a call at approximately 9:30 a.m. reporting a stabbing. Upon arrival, they found both the victim and Schultz being treated for injuries by emergency medical personnel. The victim had a laceration to his abdomen and was transported to York Hospital, while Schultz had a severe cut on her hand that was treated on-site. In a preliminary interview with police, Schultz stated that the victim approached her with a knife while she was searching for hidden money. She claimed to have grabbed the knife and stabbed the victim in self-defense. However, a 3-D crime scene reconstruction showed no blood at the location where Schultz claimed the initial confrontation occurred. The victim, after being released from the hospital, gave a different account of events. He stated that Schultz attacked him with a mask, attempting to strangle him. When he tried to escape and call the police, Schultz allegedly pulled out a kitchen knife and stabbed him. Police obtained evidence, including the kitchen knife and text messages between the victim and Schultz, which supported the victim’s version of events. Schultz is currently being held in Franklin County on $100,000 bail.

July 8, 2024 – A Fayetteville woman is in custody after allegedly stabbing and choking a man with whom she previously had an intimate relationship. Christiana Lynne Schultz failed to post $100,000 bail after being charged with aggravated assault with extreme indifference and strangulation. She remains in custody in Chambersburg.

Washington Township PD was dispatched to a home on Washington Meadows Lane around 9:30 a.m. on July 3 for a reported stabbing and found EMS treating both the victim and Christina Schultz for injuries. That victim, WTPD says, had a laceration to his abdomen and had to be transported to the hospital and later flown to York Hospital. Schultz reportedly had a severe cut on her hand, but that was treated by emergency medical personnel.

In a preliminary interview with Schultz, she reportedly told police that the victim approached her with a knife while she was in the living room looking for $10, which was hidden in a series of bags. Schultz reportedly said she was severely cut when she grabbed the knife from the victim, after which she allegedly stabbed the victim in self-defense. The kitchen knife that was reportedly used was taken as evidence and removed from the crime scene.

Police and the Franklin County Coroner’s Office used specialized 3-D cameras to photograph the crime scene, which reportedly showed no blood where Schultz claimed the initial violent confrontation began. She was interviewed the next day and said she was having a disagreement with the victim before she looked away and he came at her with a knife, similar to the previous sequence of events she had recounted to police.

The victim was interviewed after she was released from York Hospital. He allegedly said he told Schultz she needed to get out of the house because she had been living there for about a week. After trying to reason with Schultz, she allegedly attacked the victim with a cloth mask, attempting to strangle him before the victim could escape. He then attempted to leave the house and call police, but according to WTPD, Schultz pulled out a kitchen knife and stabbed the victim. The attacks continued, according to officers, when the victim tried to sit down due to the pain caused by the stabbing.

York Hospital provided WTPD with copies of medical statements related to the victim, and police also reportedly obtained copies of text messages sent between the victim and Schultz. Those messages allegedly showed the victim’s desire to have Schultz removed from his home on the day of the incident.

Christina Schultz is being held in Franklin County on $100,000 bail.
