The three-day outback extravaganza showcased renowned artists and unforgettable performances. Stevens, known for his work with Noiseworks and INXS, headlined the event with iconic hits like “Take Me Back” and “No Lies.” He also delighted the crowd with INXS classics “Need You Tonight” and “Never Tear Us Apart.” Australian rock icon Ian Moss presented a captivating set of solo hits, covers, and Cold Chisel anthems, including “River Bow,” “Phone Booth,” and “Tucker’s Daughter.” Other notable performances included Vanessa Amorosi’s debut on the outback stage, Sarah McLeod and Chocolate Starfish’s fan favorites, and Ash Grunwald, Hayley Mary, Fanny Lumsden, and the Tina Turner Tribute. The grand finale reached a crescendo when Stevens, McLeod, Adam Thompson, and Hayley Mary united for a thrilling rendition of INXS and Jimmy Barnes’ “Good Times.” Festival founder Greg Donovan expressed his gratitude and the bittersweet emotions of concluding the event. “There’s a mix of happiness, relief, and sadness when we reach the end,” he said. “We cherish the memories made with our artists and audience.” Donovan emphasized the ephemeral nature of the Big Red Bash, a testament to its extraordinary experience. “Within days, the mini city we created in this pristine outback setting will vanish,” he noted. The Big Red Bash finale proved to be a night of exceptional music, camaraderie, and unforgettable moments in the heart of the Australian outback.

Rocker Jon Stevens took to the stage to headline the finale of the Big Red Bash in Birdsville, along with other renowned Australian artists.

The Noiseworks and INXS Collection gig was a three-day outback extravaganza and to close it all Stevens played iconic hits like Take me back, No lies and INXS classics like “Need You Tonight” and Never Tear Us Apart.

Australian rock icon Ian Moss also played a carefully curated set of solo hits, covers and Cold Chisel anthems with River Bow, Phone booth And Tucker’s daughter.

Big Red Bashers also saw fantastic performances from Vanessa Amorosi, making her first appearance on the outback stage, and Bash favourites Sarah McLeod and Chocolate Starfish, as well as Ash Grunwald, Hayley Mary, Fanny Lumsden and Tina Turner Tribute.

Stevens, Sarah McLeod, Adam Thompson and Hayley Mary came together for a rocking finale, which brought the roof off with Good times by INXS and Jimmy Barnes.

“It’s always a mix of extreme happiness and relief that we’ve delivered another successful event when we reach the end of day three, and sadness that it’s coming to an end,” said festival founder and Outback Music Festival Group Director Greg Donovan.

“We run on adrenaline and the energy of our artists and our amazing audience during the event, and before we know it, an event that has been twelve months in the making is over.

“This year had so many highlights, we will cherish the many new memories we made with all our festival goers. And within days of our last outing you won’t even know we created a mini city in this pristine outback setting.”
