Despite rumors linking the 25-year-old to Arsenal, Chelsea, and Manchester United, no official bids have been placed for the €130 million release clause in his contract. Napoli’s new coach, Antonio Conte, may meet with Osimhen during pre-season training to discuss his future. However, no European club has made a formal bid for the striker. Osimhen’s hefty release clause and rumored €100 million price tag are deterring potential suitors, including Arsenal, who are reportedly prioritizing Viktor Gyökeres due to his lower salary. Chelsea and Manchester United have also shifted their transfer targets, with Chelsea focusing on Italian Enzo Maresca and United eyeing Joshua Zirkzee and Rasmus Hojlund. While Osimhen dreams of playing in the Premier League, PSG are monitoring the situation but appear more interested in his Napoli teammate, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia. Last season, Osimhen scored 15 goals and assisted in 25 games for Napoli. He totaled 17 goals in 32 appearances across all competitions for the Serie A champions.

Victor Osimhen is expected to start pre-season training at Napoli next week as no club has made a concrete offer for him yet.

Napoli’s new coach Antonio Conte could meet with Osimhen at Castel Volturno next week as no European club has yet made a formal bid for the striker.

Osimhen has a €130 million release clause in his contract with the Partenopei, but despite rumours linking Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United with the 25-year-old, there are still no official bids on the table from Napoli.

No club appears willing to pay €130 million for Osimhen and it could be difficult to find suitable candidates even if club owner Aurelio De Laurentiis reduces the price to €100 million.

Now Football Italia reports that Conte is willing to part ways with the Osimhen, but if no club signs up in the coming days, he will have to start pre-season training at Napoli on Thursday, July 11, 2024.

According to Il Corriere dello Sport, Arsenal prefer Viktor Gyökeres over Osimhen, even though they believe the €100 million release clause offered to the striker by Sporting is too high.

However, Gyökeres has a lower salary than Osimhen, so the Gunners are currently targeting him.

Chelsea have changed their transfer targets following the appointment of Italian Enzo Maresca, while Manchester United have set their sights on Joshua Zirkzee and will continue to rely on former Atalanta striker Rasmus Hojlund, especially after Erik ten Hag was confirmed as manager at Old Trafford.

Osimhen dreams of playing in the Premier League, but PSG are also keeping a close eye on the Nigerian star.

PSG, however, appear more interested in Osimhen’s teammate Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and have already held talks with the winger’s agent, which has not gone down well with Napoli.

Osimhen scored 15 goals and provided three assists in 25 games for Napoli last season.

He scored 17 goals in 32 strikes in all competitions for the former Serie A champions last season.
