A four-month pill testing pilot has begun in New South Wales. Volunteers can present their samples to the medically supervised injection center in Kings Cross. They will be assessed by New South Wales Health, which will analyze the composition of the substances. The program will run one day per week during the trial period. NSW follows Queensland and the ACT in testing the procedure.

NSW’s Chief Health Officer has urged the community not to consume Uncle Frog’s Mushroom Gummies after several people were hospitalized with “unexpected toxicity”.

According to NSW Health, at least five people have been treated in hospitals across the state since April after taking Cordyceps and Lion’s Mane gummies.
