After an exciting three-week week of cricket, which saw twenty teams participate in an ICC Men’s T20 World Cup for the first time, we have now reached the semi-finals.

South Africa and Afghanistan will face each other in the first semi-final of this year’s edition on Wednesday to decide which team will make it to the final.

While both teams have put in excellent performances throughout the tournament, Afghanistan in particular has earned a lot of praise for their stunning wins against titans Australia and New Zealand.

Afghanistan have won five of the seven matches they have played in total, while South Africa have won all seven matches they played during the tournament. Both South Africa and Afghanistan are yet to win an ICC T20 trophy.
