S Club, which currently consists of Rachel Stevens, Tina Barrett, Bradley McIntosh, and Jo O’Meara, reunited last year for a series of sold-out shows. Unfortunately, the reunion was overshadowed by the tragic death of former member Paul Cattermole in 2023. Despite this loss, the band has continued to perform and honor Cattermole’s memory. Steps, made up of Lee Latchford-Evans, Claire Richards, Lisa Scott-Lee, Faye Tozer, and Ian “H” Watkins, has also enjoyed a successful career. The group has sold over 22 million records worldwide and has toured extensively. Much like S Club, Steps has managed to maintain its popularity and appeal over the years, with fans eager to see them perform live. While a potential collaboration between S Club and Steps has not been officially confirmed, Lee’s comments have certainly fueled speculation. Fans of both groups would undoubtedly be thrilled to witness a union of two of the most beloved pop acts of the early 2000s. Such a collaboration could potentially create a nostalgic and electrifying musical experience, combining the catchy melodies and energetic performances that both S Club and Steps are known for. Whether or not the rumored collaboration comes to fruition, the fact that Lee has expressed interest in joining forces with Steps is a testament to the enduring legacy of both bands. Their music continues to resonate with fans, and their impact on the pop music landscape is undeniable.

Two of the most iconic groups of the 2000s, S Club and Steps, could come together as one group sometime in the future.

S Club member Jon Lee, 42, recently said he would love it if he and his band joined forces with Steps.

Formed in 1998 and selling 10 million records worldwide, S Club currently consists of Rachel Stevens, Tina Barrett, Bradley McIntosh and Jo O’Meara following the death of Paul Cattermole in 2023.

Steps rose to fame in 1997 with members Lee Latchford-Evans, Claire Richards, Lisa Scott-Lee, Faye Tozer and Ian ‘H’ Watkins and has sold 22 million records worldwide.

Lee told The Sun: ‘S Club and Steps existed at the same time and our anniversary is only a few months apart.

S Club reunited last year, including a show at London’s O2 Arena in front of 20,000 people, just months after Paul was tragically found dead at the age of 46.

S Club’s Tina Barrett said of the band’s renaissance: ‘Back then, festivals were all about rock bands like The Rolling Stones and Oasis.

‘Now people love pop again. Actually, it’s not as embarrassing as it was then.’

The S Club reunion was also notable as the band presented Paul Cattermole’s family with a meaningful memorial gift.

Cattermole sold his Brit Award on eBay in 2018 for a whopping £66,100.

To honor Cattermole’s memory, the remaining band members repurchased the trophy and reunited it with their late bandmate’s family during the show.

Revealing the kind gesture, Cattermole’s brother, Colin, shared a photo on Instagram and wrote: ‘Last Saturday we had the extraordinary opportunity to attend my late brother’s band’s 25th anniversary tour at the famous O2 Arena in London.

‘The show was a resounding success, with a sold-out audience and an electrifying atmosphere that resonated with their dedicated fans. The band really pulled out all the stops!

“This experience was surreal and emotional not only for me, but also for my other brother, my wife and Paul’s closest friends who shared the evening with us.”
