Franconia Township Utility Pole IncidentFranconia Township Utility Pole Incident On Saturday evening, a Chevy Silverado pickup truck struck and severed a utility pole on Cowpath Road near Church Road in Franconia Township, Pennsylvania. The incident occurred around 9:57 p.m., triggering an emergency response due to live wires falling on another car. Upon receiving a call, emergency crews arrived at the scene to find the pickup truck with the downed pole resting on it. Live wires had been pulled from a neighboring pole and lay across a white Ford sedan. All occupants of both vehicles were safely out of their cars and at a distance from the hazard. The driver of the Silverado had caused the pole to fall, damaging the truck and causing downed wires. Cowpath Road was closed between Telford Pike and Indian Creek Road while Telford Volunteer Fire Co. and Perseverance Fire Co. secured the area. PP&L Electric was contacted to handle the downed wires. VMSC EMS was initially dispatched but was not needed at the scene. The incident remained under investigation by local authorities.

Police reported shortly afterwards that all parties were out of their vehicles and at a safe distance.
Upon arrival, police discovered that the dark-colored pickup had struck the pole, causing it to fall onto the truck. Wires had been pulled down from a neighboring pole and lay across a white Ford sedan.
Cowpath Road was closed between Telford Pike and Indian Creek Road.
VMSC EMS was called, but was not needed and was removed from the scene.
Telford Volunteer Fire Co. and Perseverance Fire Co. secured the area until the arrival of PP&L Electric.
