The Jockey Club Announces Internal Promotions

John Smith to Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer

John Smith has been promoted to Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer (COO). In this role, he will oversee the Club’s core racing and non-gaming operations. Smith has been with the Club for over 20 years, serving in various leadership positions. He brings a wealth of experience and a deep understanding of the industry.

Susan Jones to Vice President of Finance

Susan Jones has been promoted to Vice President of Finance. She will be responsible for all aspects of the Club’s financial management, including budgeting, accounting, and financial reporting. Jones has held several positions within the Club’s finance department since joining in 2015. She is a highly skilled financial professional with a proven track record of success.

Peter Brown to Assistant Vice President of Operations

Peter Brown has been promoted to Assistant Vice President of Operations. He will oversee the day-to-day operations of the Club’s racecourse and other facilities. Brown has been with the Club for 10 years and has held roles in both racing and non-gaming operations. He is known for his exceptional leadership skills and his commitment to providing a superior customer experience.

Sarah Davis to Director of Marketing

Sarah Davis has been promoted to Director of Marketing. She will lead the Club’s marketing and communications efforts, including brand strategy, advertising, and public relations. Davis has over 15 years of experience in marketing and communications, including roles in the hospitality and technology industries. She has a strong track record of developing and executing successful marketing campaigns.

Jockey Club Announces Promotions and Title Changes

The Jockey Club, a leading organization in Thoroughbred breeding and racing, has announced several promotions and title changes within its management team.

Promotions:

* Andrew Chesser: Director of Registration Services and Director of Business Development * Amber Florence: Senior Vice President of Finance and Business Planning * Shannon Kelly: Director of Industry Relations * Shannon Luce: Vice President of Communications * Christelle Morgan: Manager of Cataloging * Kristin Werner: Deputy General Counsel and Director of Industry Initiatives

New Appointments:

* Greg Charkoudian: Vice President of TJC Media Ventures * Dan Tordjman: Vice President of TJC Media Ventures

Other Changes:

* Jamie Haydon: Previously announced as Deputy Executive Director * Stephen Panus: Stepping down as President of TJC Media Ventures, to be replaced by James L. Gagliano These changes reflect The Jockey Club’s commitment to serving the industry and growing Thoroughbred breeding and racing. “We are very pleased to recognize the contributions of these individuals and entrust them with additional responsibilities,” said James L. Panus will continue as a strategic advisor for the organization.The Jockey Club today announced a series of internal promotions, effective immediately. Joe Appleby has been promoted to Executive Director of Racing. Appleby has been with the Jockey Club for over 20 years, most recently serving as Senior Director of Racing Operations. In his new role, Appleby will be responsible for all aspects of racing operations, including scheduling, handicapping, and safety. Mary E. Bauer has been promoted to Executive Director of Registration. Bauer has been with the Jockey Club for over 15 years, most recently serving as Senior Director of Registration Services. In her new role, Bauer will be responsible for all aspects of the Jockey Club’s registration system, including the registration of Thoroughbreds, Quarter Horses, and Arabians. Jason Wilson has been promoted to Executive Director of Information Technology. Wilson has been with the Jockey Club for over 10 years, most recently serving as Senior Director of Information Technology. In his new role, Wilson will be responsible for all aspects of the Jockey Club’s information technology systems, including the development and maintenance of the Jockey Club’s website and database. These promotions reflect the Jockey Club’s commitment to developing and promoting its employees from within. Appleby, Bauer, and Wilson have all demonstrated their leadership skills and commitment to the Jockey Club’s mission. We are confident that they will continue to make significant contributions to the Jockey Club in their new roles.
