The draw resulted in seven winners, with approximately two million tickets sold–a much higher number than normal. The locations were announced around midday today after some online customers previously encountered a technical problem checking electronically to see if they had won. Five of the tickets were purchased in Auckland, one in Hamilton and one in Hastings. The winning stores were:

Lotto apologizes after technical glitch
Previously, Lotto said overnight processing of tickets was “taking longer than expected”, leaving some online customers unable to electronically check if they had won. More than 90% of MyLotto customers were able to check their online tickets as normal through the virtual draw, a spokesperson said earlier this morning. However, “less than 10% of customers will be able to see their ticket on MyLotto, but the ticket will not be processed until later in the day. This means they will only be able to check their ticket electronically later using the virtual draw on Sunday”.
