Former North Fork Area Transit manager Jeffrey Stewart, 33, pleaded guilty Monday in Madison County Superior Court.

MADISON, Neb. — Former North Fork Area Transit manager Jeffrey Stewart, 33, pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge Monday in Madison County District Court.

Stewart originally faced two separate charges:

1) Theft by unlawful taking of $5,000/+ (Class 2A felony)

2) Unauthorized Use of a Financial Transaction Device $5,000/+ (Class 2A Felony)

Stewart, after accepting the plea agreement, was found guilty on two counts, one of which remained the same.

1) Unauthorized Use of a Financial Transaction Device $5,000/+ (Class 2A Felony)

2) Obstruction of government activities (class 1 felony)

The court found Stewart guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. His sentencing was scheduled for September 12 at 10:15 a.m.
