He joins Regionalliga team 1. FC Schweinfurt as their first-choice goalkeeper. Contract Extensions for Injured Players Midfielder Moritz Mosandl and defender Gabriel Marušić have extended their contracts until 2025 and 2026, respectively. Despite long-term injuries, the club has expressed support for their potential. Vinlöf Extends, Joins Austria Wien on Loan Left-back Matteo Perez Vinlöf has signed a contract extension until 2027 and is now on loan at Austrian top club FK Austria Wien. Maurice Krattenmacher on Bayern Move Attacking midfielder Maurice Krattenmacher, who was loaned to SSV Ulm, discussed his decision to join Bayern: “I wanted to take my next step… Bayern is my absolute favorite club.” Permanent Departures and Significant Loans The campus has witnessed permanent departures of players who have spent significant time at Bayern. Additionally, several players have been loaned out to gain experience and playing time.

As usual, the transfer market is moving at a breakneck pace and is nearly impossible to keep up with by the FC Bayern Campus, but BFW has you covered. Here’s another roundup of all the business Bayern Munich has done with their young talent:

Lukas Schneller leaves

After 12 years of wearing the red jersey of Bavaria, Lukas Schneller has left the club, as confirmed by the Bayern Campus Twitter account. Schneller was part of a group of goalkeepers at the club who have been plagued by serious injuries in recent years. In the 2021/22 season, he lost almost an entire year to injury. However, he made an excellent recovery the following year, earning him a move to SC Freiburg’s U-23 team in the 3. Liga. Unfortunately, he only played two games and never managed to take the next step in his development. At the age of 22, it was time for Schneller to move on and he found a new home with Regionalliga team 1. FC Schweinfurt. He has already established himself as the club’s first-choice goalkeeper, starting their first two Regionalliga games.

Two long-term injured players extend their contracts

22-year-old midfielder Moritz Mosandl and 21-year-old defender Gabriel Marušić have recently extended their contracts until 2025 and 2026 respectively, as confirmed by the club’s official website. Both players are currently struggling with long-term injuries, as Mosandl is still plagued by a devastating knee injury in August 2023, while Marušić suffered a cruciate ligament rupture in April 2023.

So why, considering these injuries, did the club extend these two players? Maybe the club believes in their potential, maybe the club refuses to let long-term Bavarian talents go unemployed while they are out with long-term injuries, maybe it is a mix of both. In the official announcement of the contract extensions, FC Bayern Campus Sporting Director Halil Altintop said that with these extensions the club intends to “give them our support”. Either way, it is the right thing to do. Letting these young players go now would be devastating for their careers.

Bayern extend Matteo Perez Vinlöf, loan him to Austria Wien

Bayern confirmed via their official website that 18-year-old left-back Matteo Perez Vinlöf has extended his contract until 2027 and has joined FK Austria Wien on a one-year loan. The Austrian top club had previously loaned Frans Krätzig from Bayern, although he is now at VFB Stuttgart. With a gap in the left-back position at Austria Wien and Krätzig’s successful time at the club in mind, it made sense for Bayern’s next left-back talent to fill that void. Vinlöf has already played his first 90 competitive minutes for the club at the time of writing as Austria Wien defeated FC Pinzgau 6-0 in the first round of the Austrian Cup.

Maurice Krattenmacher talks about transfer to Bayern

Maurice Krattenmacher joined Bayern from SpVgg Unterhaching early in the transfer window, with the 18-year-old attacking midfielder immediately loaned out to 2. Bundesliga club SSV Ulm. When asked about his decision to join Bayern, as captured by @iMiaSanMia, he had this to say: “I wanted to take my next step. I owe a lot to Haching, but I also wanted to get out of my comfort zone and experience something new. My first impression tells me that I did everything right. Bayern is my absolute favorite club. I’m also from Munich. The talks with Bayern were very good. If they want you, you can’t say no.”
