Manchester United Eye Monaco Defender VandersonManchester United Eye Monaco Defender Vanderson Manchester United has held discussions with the agents of Monaco’s Vanderson, as revealed by Fabrizio Romano. The Brazilian right-back, capped twice for his national team, is among three players United has considered for the position, including Bayern Munich’s Noussair Mazraoui and Internazionale’s Denzel Dumfries. However, Vanderson’s acquisition faces challenges due to Monaco’s high asking price. Romano reports that Tottenham and United have met with his representatives, indicating genuine interest. Mazraoui Remains Manchester United’s Top Target Despite Vanderson’s potential, Mazraoui remains the club’s priority. The Moroccan international, who previously worked with manager Erik ten Hag at Ajax, is reportedly available for under €20 million. Aaron Wan-Bissaka’s Departure Essential To fund the move for a new right-back, United must offload Aaron Wan-Bissaka, whose contract expires next year. The club hopes to receive around £15 million for the 26-year-old, significantly less than the £35 million they paid Crystal Palace for him years ago. West Ham is reportedly interested in signing Wan-Bissaka, but his preference for Inter Milan may complicate the deal.

According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, Manchester United have met with the agents of Monaco defender Vanderson.

The Brazilian, who has played twice for his country, is one of three right-backs (along with Noussair Mazraoui of Bayern Munich and Internazionale of Denzel Dumfries) of which Romano says the Red Devils have had discussions with:

“The third right-back that Manchester United could consider is the Brazilian right-back, Vanderson. He is probably considered too expensive at the moment because Monaco want a big amount for Vanderson at the moment. But the Brazilian boy is on the list of many clubs.”

“Tottenham have met their agents. Manchester United have met their agents. So there is interest in Vanderson and it is concrete, so let’s see what happens with this situation.”

Mazraoui is the club’s top priority

While Vanderson is clearly on United’s radar, it seems unlikely that the 23-year-old will make a move at this stage, not only because of the asking price, but also because negotiations over another target are at an advanced stage.

Noussar Mazraoui is said to be at the top of the list. The Moroccan international previously worked with manager Erik ten Hag at Ajax and is said to be available for less than €20m.

United hope Wan-Bissaka leaves

However, in order to fund a move for a new right-back, the Red Devils will need to offload Aaron Wan-Bissaka, with the 26-year-old having less than a year left on his contract at Old Trafford.

It is believed the club are hoping to get around £15million for Wan-Bissaka, which is £35million less than what they paid Crystal Palace for the defender five years ago.

West Ham are said to be the team most keen to sign the full-back at the moment, but the deal is dependent on the player being open to the move. It has been suggested that he wants to join Inter Milan instead.
