Looking for an exciting and active way to spend a summer day? Join our FREE Ultimate Frisbee Clinic for high school students, supported by Ridgefield Parks and Rec!

When: August 12 from 8:30am to 3:30/4pm (Rain/Heat date: August 13 at the same time)

Where: The clinic will take place on the fields of Ridgefield Parks and Rec.

Cost: 100% FREE – Plus you get free pizza and water!

What: This Ultimate Frisbee clinic begins with a warm-up session, followed by lessons on the rules and skills of Ultimate Frisbee, taught by volunteers from BSA Troop 116 and the RHS Frisbee Club. The day concludes with a double-elimination tournament, with all members of the winning team receiving $5 Deborah Ann’s Gift Cards.

What to bring:

  • Required: Suitable sports clothing and shoes, and sunscreen.
  • Optional: Personalized lunches/snacks (except peanuts/tree nuts), Gatorade, hats (recommended), water, and a towel to prevent sweat.

Additional notes:

  • The time at which parents must pick up their children depends on the number of 30-minute games played in the double-elimination tournament.
  • Free lunch (cheese pizza) and water are provided. However, Gatorade and snacks are not provided.
  • There is only room for 30 participants, so register quickly!
  • This clinic is an Eagle Scout project of Ian Whitehurst of Troop 116.
