Woman Undergoes Successful Neck Surgery in RawalpindiWoman Undergoes Successful Neck Surgery in Rawalpindi Haleema Bibi, a 40-year-old woman, has successfully undergone surgery for a broken neck at Rawalpindi District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital. The surgery was the result of a fall from a roof in Mianwali. On the orders of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, Haleema was transported from Mianwali to Rawalpindi by Pakistan’s first civilian air ambulance service. She had sustained injuries to her cervical vertebrae in the fall and had been receiving treatment at Mianwali DHQ Hospital for three days. A team of neurosurgeons led by Professor Ashraf Mehmood, head of the neurosurgery department at Rawalpindi DHQ Hospital, performed the successful one-and-a-half-hour operation on Tuesday. Professor Mehmood stated that the complex operation was a success. Haleema’s condition is now stable, and she is expected to make a full recovery.

A 40-year-old woman, Haleema Bibi, has undergone successful surgery at the Rawalpindi District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital for her broken neck after falling from a roof.

On the instructions of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, the patient was transferred from Mianwali to DHQ Hospital Rawalpindi by Pakistan’s first civilian air ambulance service.

Haleema sustained injuries to her cervical vertebrae when she fell from a 10-foot roof in Mianwali. After receiving treatment at Mianwali DHQ Hospital for three days, doctors advised her to be transferred to Rawalpindi DHQ Hospital, which has a large and modern neurosurgery department.

When the Prime Minister came to know about the situation, he ordered Haleema to be airlifted to Rawalpindi DHQ Hospital by ambulance on Monday. On Tuesday, a team of neurosurgeons operated successfully on Haleema for one and a half hours under the supervision of Professor Ashraf Mehmood, head of the neurosurgery department.

Professor Mehmood told The Express Tribune that the complex operation was successful.
