The return of the England winger is expected to significantly impact the club’s attacking lineup. Diaby has made 54 appearances for Villa, scoring 10 goals and helping the club qualify for the Champions League. As part of their squad revamp for the upcoming season, Villa has also sold Douglas Luiz to Juventus for £42.35 million. In addition to Philogene, Villa has recruited Samuel Iling-Junior and Enzo Barrenechea from Juventus, Ian Maatsen from Chelsea for £35 million, Lewis Dobbin from Everton for around £9 million, and most recently, Amadou Onana from Everton for £50 million.
