The Brooklyn-based, Jamaican-born entertainment publicist Ronnie Tomlinson confirmed the tour’s title and revealed that a special guest artist will perform on Friday, who is currently topping the charts. Tomlinson, the CEO of New York-based Destine Media, hinted that the guest artist is Fridayy, a Haitian-American singer, songwriter, and music producer.
During his recent performances, Buju Banton captivated fans with an electrifying 90-minute performance backed by Shiloh Band. His unparalleled talent and energy cemented his status as the first reggae artist to sell so many tickets in two days.
Buju Banton’s manager, Joseph Budafuco, expressed his pride in the artist’s achievements and the significance of his first-ever Arena Tour. He emphasized the importance of Buju Banton touring the United States again after a 15-year hiatus.
The highly anticipated tour is being produced by Black-owned AG Touring in partnership with Gargamel Music, XO Management, Mammoth, and Eventim. It kicks off on August 24 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and visits Tampa, Washington, DC, Boston, Atlanta, Houston, Inglewood, CA, before concluding at the Barclay Center in Brooklyn.

After what was described as a “resounding success” of two sold-out shows recently, with more than 36,000 concertgoers in attendance at the prestigious UBS Arena on Long Island, legendary GRAMMY award-winning reggae artist Buju Banton announced his first Arena Tour, “The Overcomer,” on Monday.
“The aptly titled ‘The Overcomer’ tour will feature a special guest artist on Friday who is topping the charts,” Ronnie Tomlinson, the Brooklyn-based, Jamaican-born entertainment publicist, told Caribbean life.
Fridayy, a Haitian-American singer, songwriter and music producer, is known for his exceptional musical skills and has “made waves in the music industry” with his “When It Comes To You,” “Stand By Me,” “Without You” and his three-time Grammy-nominated song “God Did” by DJ Khaled, featuring Rick Ross, Lil Wayne, Jay-Z and John Legend, according to Tomlinson, the CEO of New York-based Destine Media.
She said Buju Banton, backed by Shiloh Band, “captivated fans with an electrifying 90-minute performance last weekend, showcasing his unparalleled talent and energy, cementing his status as the first reggae artist to sell so many tickets in two days.”
