Jamaican reggae icon Buju Banton is preparing for his first Arena Tour, aptly titled “The Overcomer,” following the resounding success of his two sold-out shows at Long Island’s UBS Arena.

The Brooklyn-based, Jamaican-born entertainment publicist Ronnie Tomlinson confirmed the tour’s title and revealed that a special guest artist will perform on Friday, who is currently topping the charts. Tomlinson, the CEO of New York-based Destine Media, hinted that the guest artist is Fridayy, a Haitian-American singer, songwriter, and music producer.

During his recent performances, Buju Banton captivated fans with an electrifying 90-minute performance backed by Shiloh Band. His unparalleled talent and energy cemented his status as the first reggae artist to sell so many tickets in two days.

Buju Banton’s manager, Joseph Budafuco, expressed his pride in the artist’s achievements and the significance of his first-ever Arena Tour. He emphasized the importance of Buju Banton touring the United States again after a 15-year hiatus.

The highly anticipated tour is being produced by Black-owned AG Touring in partnership with Gargamel Music, XO Management, Mammoth, and Eventim. It kicks off on August 24 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and visits Tampa, Washington, DC, Boston, Atlanta, Houston, Inglewood, CA, before concluding at the Barclay Center in Brooklyn.
