Summer is coming to an end and children across Kentuckiana are preparing for the 2024-2025 school year.

While many counties in the metro area are set to reopen in the second week of August, two counties will reopen in late July.

Below you will find the start dates of school holidays in the regions surrounding Louisville, along with information about the fall, winter, and spring breaks:

Jefferson County Public Schools

First day: Thursday August 8th

Autumn break: Oct 2-4

Winter vacation: Dec 23 – Jan 3

Spring break: March 31-April 4
