Families strolling around the property at all hours of the day was once a sign that things were moving forward in Las Vegas. Today, it’s a convention, with multi-generational guests from every time zone splitting their time between sightseeing, shows and dining with kids in tow. It’s not so much about finding activities for all ages anymore, but about what to choose from.

One of the newest immersive experiences, ART MUSEUMstands midway along the Strip, opposite the entrance to The Cosmopolitan’s Chelsea Tower. An Infinite Waterfall room that combines projections of vertical rivers falling from 23 feet (7 meters) and the sounds of cascading waterfalls awaits within the cool confines. Other rooms feature floral, ocean and starry night themes, with frolicking light-up creatures, and features such as a tea bar and a Live Sketchbook, where animal drawings can be customized and transformed into animated characters.

Dino Safari: an adventurous walk has its share of Instagrammable moments at Horseshoe Las Vegas, where an assortment of prehistoric reptiles come to life. They seem to be enjoying life at Dino Safari and aren’t in the habit of running wild through the streets. It’s a rare chance to get up close to a Tyrannosaurus or Triceratops, but they might come to you first.

Speaking of liberation, Jabbawockeez have the most kinetic show on the Strip, mesmerizing kids when they’re not dancing. The world’s leading breakdancing crew has held multiple residencies over the years, including the current MGM Grand extravaganza Timeless the ultimate example of body-rocking, precise choreography, sketches, humor and audience participation.

For a trip off the Strip, Ethel M Chocolate Factory & Cactus Garden is a fantasyland for sweet tooths and adults who grew up wishing there was a real Willy Wonka. Ethel M’s offers golden tickets for everyone and is a popular spot during the holidays, when it is transformed into a winter wonderland. The Cactus Garden, the largest of its kind in Nevada, is open year-round, as are factory tours and chocolate tastings.

Grand Canyon West offers attractions, tours and accommodations from the Hualapai Indian Reservation side of the epic canyon carved by the Colorado River. The West Rim is home to the iconic glass-bottomed Skywalk, and GCW is a launching pad for whitewater rafting, ziplining and helicopter tours that make a Grand Canyon bucket list item possible. Adventures await.

Omega Market should be on everyone’s list. The next level attraction disguises itself as a supermarket with eccentric inventory items, but secret entrances lead to a back room, a maze of art installations, interactive devices and the headquarters of the mysterious Dram Corporation. There’s a conspiracy to unravel and Omega Mart provides the clues.

There is no mystery behind it Tournament of Kingswhere the crowds gather at Excalibur for dinner shows of gallantry and pageantry, and the forces of good knights with not-so-good intentions. Swords clash, sparks fly, horses prance and damsels dance while children of all ages eat with their hands and cheer heartily on kingdoms. Add this to your bucket list—twice.
