High school girls in Chadron, Nebraska, will have the opportunity to participate in a self-defense and empowerment class this summer. UNL-Peaceful Means will be co-hosting the class from Monday, July 22nd to Thursday, July 25th, from 1-4pm at the COIL Center at CSC.High school girls in Chadron, Nebraska, will have the opportunity to participate in a self-defense and empowerment class this summer. UNL-Peaceful Means will be co-hosting the class from Monday, July 22nd to Thursday, July 25th, from 1-4pm at the COIL Center at CSC. The class will teach the girls self-defense skills and provide them with the knowledge and tools they need to face their Moment of Truths. Peaceful Means is a sexual violence prevention project through the University of Nebraska-Lincoln that teaches these skills to children and youth on the Pine Ridge Reservation. Guardians can register their high school-aged children for the class at go.unl.edu/chadsummer through Sunday, July 21st. The class will teach high school girls self-defense skills and the boys empowerment courses to help them face their Moment of Truths. Peaceful Means is a sexual violence prevention project through the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. We are located on the Pine Ridge Reservation and teach these skills to the children/youth on the reservation. We would love to bring this life changing class to the youth in Chadron.
