Suspect in Buckhead club shooting turns himself in, charged with murder

ATLANTA, Ga. (WSB) – The suspect in the deadly shooting at a Buckhead club over the weekend has turned himself in. Kenneth Alexis Kennedy, 32, surrendered to authorities Wednesday afternoon. He has been charged with two counts of murder and four counts of aggravated assault. The shooting happened early Sunday morning at The Platinum Club on Peachtree Road. Two people were killed and four others were injured. According to police, Kennedy was involved in an argument with another man inside the club. The argument escalated into a physical fight, and Kennedy allegedly pulled out a gun and opened fire. The victims have been identified as 23-year-old Cameron Gipson and 25-year-old Stephanie Clemons. Kennedy is currently being held in the Fulton County Jail. He is scheduled to make his first court appearance Thursday morning. The investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
