Man arrested after police discover £1,500 of class A drugs and cash in East Kilbride

Police Scotland have arrested a man after they discovered £1,500 worth of class A drugs and cash in East Kilbride. Officers executed a search warrant at a property on Dickson Drive on Thursday, 23 February, 2023. During the search, officers recovered a quantity of suspected cocaine, heroin and cannabis, with an estimated street value of £1,500. A 32-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection with the incident. He is due to appear at Hamilton Sheriff Court on Friday, 24 February, 2023. Detective Constable Craig Walker, of East Kilbride Police Station, said: “This was a significant recovery of drugs and cash and I would like to thank the members of the public who provided us with information which led to this arrest. “We are committed to tackling the supply of drugs in our communities and we will continue to work with our partners to disrupt the activities of those involved in this illegal trade.” Anyone with information about the supply of drugs is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.A 30-year-old man has been arrested after police discovered £1,500 of class A drugs and cash in East Kilbride. The man was arrested and charged with possession with intent to supply class A drugs. He is due to appear at Hamilton Sheriff Court at a later date. A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We are committed to tackling the supply of drugs in our communities and will continue to work to disrupt the activities of those involved in this illegal trade.”
