NIANTIC, Conn. (WTNH) — Three Connecticut National Guard candidates were taken to a hospital for evaluation after “feeling the physical effects of the heat,” the National Guard said.

Members of the Connecticut National Guard Officer Candidate School held a march at Camp Nett in Niantic on Tuesday when five candidates reported being affected by the heat.

Of the three who were taken to the hospital for evaluation, two have since been released and are back in training. The third has been admitted for further evaluation.
