LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) โ€” An employee of a Lancaster County business that helps people with disabilities is facing charges after police say he made thousands of dollars worth of personal purchases using the company’s credit card.

According to Northern Lancaster County Regional Police, Kim Vandersluys, 30, of Red Lion, is accused of making unauthorized purchases with the company card.

According to police, Vandersluys was an employee of Faithful Homes, a disability services provider in Manheim.

Police were notified of the theft on June 20 and spoke with executives at Faithful Homes, who reported that an employee was making unauthorized purchases with the card.

In total, $8,028.48 worth of items were purchased. According to police, Vandersluys used the card to purchase food, health care and jewelry.

Vandersluys was arrested on Thursday, June 11, and is accused of access device fraud.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for August 6.
