Rangers have confirmed they will play their home games at Scotland’s National Stadium while renovation work takes place at Ibrox.

The Premier League club confirmed on Monday that an agreement has been reached with the SFA over the use of Hampden for matches in August.

Two home league games, against Motherwell on 10 August and Ross County on 24 August, will be played at Mount Florida. Potential Champions League qualifying matches and League Cup matches will also be played there.

Rangers say they continue to work “tirelessly” to complete work on the Copland Stand project as quickly as possible and will provide supporters with a final update as soon as possible.

A statement on Rangers’ website said: “Following last week’s update, the club is continuing to work on detailed plans for the move to the National Stadium.

“While the Ask Rangers site attempts to answer immediate questions, we will continue to provide more information to our season ticket holders and seasonal gastronomy customers as the situation develops.

“At this stage the club can announce that our William Hill Scottish Premiership matches with Motherwell on Saturday 10th August and Ross County on Saturday 24th August will be played at Hampden, with both matches kicking off at 3pm.

“As the draw for the UEFA Champions League third qualifying round and the potential play-off round, plus a potential home match in the Premier Sports Cup, has yet to be made, the club will communicate news about dates and kick-off times as soon as the information is confirmed.

“The club continues to work tirelessly on the Copland Stand project at Ibrox to complete it as soon as possible. As soon as the club is able to provide a definitive update on matches returning to our home ground, we will do so.

“Rangers would like to once again thank the Scottish Football Association and the SPFL for their significant work in reaching this resolution.

“Above all, the club thanks our supporters for their continued patience and understanding as we deal with this challenge.”
