Free Services for Enhanced Functionality The clinic, scheduled for July 20 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Cora Hoffman Center, will provide complimentary services to both powered and non-powered wheelchairs. These services include: * Fixing and repairing chair features * Replacing pads and coverings * Sanitizing surfaces * Power washing (for non-motorized chairs) * In some cases, replacing or upgrading wheelchairs Community-Based Support Individuals are encouraged to RSVP by emailing Ester Girald. Transportation will be available for Staten Island residents. STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. – CP Unlimited, a New York-based nonprofit organization that advocates and provides services to individuals with disabilities, will be hosting a free wheelchair cleaning and service session in Staten Island.
The Wheelchair Cleaning Clinic will provide complimentary cleaning, sanitizing, and repair services to help maintain the functionality and mobility of both powered and non-powered wheelchairs.
“The services offered include fixing and repairing chair features, replacing pads and coverings, sanitizing surfaces, power washing (for non-motorized chairs), and, in some cases, replacing or upgrading wheelchairs altogether,” states CP Unlimited.
