Newcastle United is reportedly interested in signing Viktor Tsygankov, a right winger who recently competed in the Euro 2024 tournament. Manager Eddie Howe is seeking a winger to complete his attacking trio alongside Anthony Gordon and Alexander Isak. Tsygankov, a 26-year-old Ukrainian international, had a successful season with Girona in La Liga, scoring eight goals and providing seven assists. With a €30m release clause, he is reportedly open to a move to the Premier League, particularly to a club like Newcastle or Arsenal that has expressed interest. Tsygankov’s style of play, cutting inside with his left foot from the right wing, aligns with Howe’s desired profile for the position. If Newcastle successfully acquires Tsygankov, he could potentially form a formidable partnership with Harvey Barnes next season.Newcastle United is reportedly interested in signing Viktor Tsygankov, a right winger who recently competed in the Euro 2024 tournament. Newcastle United have now requested information about a right winger who has just completed his Euro 2024 campaign.

Eddie Howe has reportedly made it clear that he wants to sign a new right winger this summer, someone who can complete his front three.

For a long time it seemed that Michael Olise would be the ideal candidate, but the Frenchman has now decided to sign for Bayern Munich.

Therefore, the newly appointed Paul Mitchell is tasked with finding the right candidate to play alongside Anthony Gordon and Alexander Isak next season.

Miguel Almiron often fulfilled that role last season, but as the season progressed his form deteriorated.

This could see Almiron leave Newcastle this summer, with the club reportedly interested in Jarrod Bowen as a potential replacement.

However, West Ham United will not consider any offers for Bowen this summer, which may explain Newcastle’s renewed interest in Girona winger Viktor Tsygankov.

The Ukrainian international scored eight goals and provided seven assists in La Liga last season, attracting the attention of Europe’s elite.

Girona star Viktor Tsygankov reportedly wants to move to Newcastle this summer

According to Caught Offside, both Arsenal and Newcastle have ‘received information’ about Tsygankov, who has a €30m buyout clause in his contract.

The ‘electric’ winger is open to a move to the Premier League. And with Aston Villa also interested, Tsygankov would like to move to England with one of the clubs mentioned, should they make a concrete offer.

The report reveals that Arsenal and Newcastle currently have the most interest in the 26-year-old.

Tsygankov is a right winger with a penchant for cutting inside with his left foot, which is exactly the profile Howe is looking for this summer.

And for the aforementioned price tag, around £26m, the Ukrainian could be a very cost-effective option for Newcastle, who would have fetched much higher fees elsewhere.

Before signing for Girona in January 2023, Tsygankov played almost exclusively for his club, having spent his entire career with his boyhood club Dynamo Kyiv.

And should Newcastle be lucky enough to secure Tsygankov’s signature this summer, he could be an excellent option to partner Harvey Barnes next season – if he is also given opportunities on the right.
