The bride’s choice of wedding dress, designed by Givenchy’s artistic director Clare Waight Keller, was a masterpiece of simplicity and elegance. The dress, crafted from a pristine double-glued silk fabric, featured a flowing underskirt of triple-layered silk organza. Waight Keller’s design philosophy sought to balance traditional elements with a modern interpretation of royalty, emphasizing an effortless and personal style. The price tag for this exquisite gown was a staggering $265,000, a testament to the meticulous craftsmanship and intricate details that went into its creation. Over 3,900 hours of painstaking work were devoted to its construction. To complement her gown, Meghan adorned Queen Mary’s diamond bandeau tiara, a priceless heirloom loaned by Queen Elizabeth II. The tiara, a gift to the Queen’s grandmother, added a touch of regal heritage to Meghan’s bridal ensemble.

On May 19, 2018, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry married in a beautiful royal wedding ceremony at St George’s Chapel in Windsor.

The bride chose Clare Waight Keller, Givenchy’s artistic director, to design her wedding dress. The dress was made of a ‘pure white’ double-glued silk dress with a triple-layered silk organza underskirt.

“We talked a lot about what (Meghan) really felt was a modern interpretation of the royal role,” Waight Keller recalled in a 2023 interview with Vanity Fair.

“Not overly feminine, but not really minimal either. That effortless American style, where it just feels really fresh and personal.”

The dress cost $265,000 (approximately $412,000) and took 3,900 hours to make.

Meghan also wore Queen Mary’s diamond bandeau tiara, which was loaned to her by Queen Elizabeth II and named after Her Majesty’s grandmother.
