NEW BRUNSWICK – A firefighter was injured Thursday while battling a barn fire at Hort Farm, near Rutgers Gardens.

Around 7 p.m. on July 11, a fire broke out in a storage shed on the Hort Farm property at Rutgers Gardens. The building was unoccupied at the time, university spokesperson Megan Florance said.

One firefighter was treated at a local hospital for injuries that were not life-threatening.

The fire was extinguished with the help of the local fire department, Florance said,
