On Wednesday, July 10, at approximately 8:00 p.m., the Grenville County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received complaints.
Officers found the van on the Edwardsburgh-Cardinal freeway, moving slowly and backing up traffic.
According to the OPP, the boat contained a complete trailer and the rear window of the van was broken.
The driver was charged with multiple traffic violations.
The OPP reminds the public to always secure items being towed. Additionally, drivers may be charged if an item becomes dislodged and causes a collision.
