Mark your calendars Southwest Louisiana, it’s time for a delicious, finger-licking get-together! Make plans to 2nd annual Chicken party in Sulphur Louisiana. For the second year in a row, the festival will take place at the West Cal Cam Arena at 401 Arena Road in Sulphur, LA 70663 on July 20, 2024.

The 2nd annual Chicken party offers a variety of contests and competitions that you won’t want to miss. If you’re a car enthusiast, you’re in for a treat! Some of the best vehicles in the world will be on display at the Show & Shine car show.

There is so much to see and do. This event has something for everyone, from young to old. The public is invited to join in a day of family fun, entertainment, activities, delicious food and arts and crafts from local and international vendors.

CHICKEN GAME – YOUTH DEPARTMENT

  • RULES: Make sure your chicken is the bell of the ball! People who present chickens on stage in the youth division must be under the age of 15. For more information or to register for the Youth Chicken Pageant, click HERE.
  • Without registration: $20/ per chicken
  • To register: 10:00
  • The Youth Competition starts: 10:45 am

CHICKEN GAME – ADULT SECTION

  • RULES: People presenting chickens must be 15 years or older. Chickens only, please.
    All birds must be on a leash or in a crate during the event. For more information or to register for the Adult Hen Chicken Pageant, click HERE.
  • Without registration: $20/chicken
  • To register: 12:45 pm
  • Competition for adult chickens begins: 1:30 pm

WING EATING COMPETITION

  • RULES: Must be 18 or older to enter. If you have a serious health condition or illness/condition, you may not enter. The fastest finisher and one who cleans their wings down to the bone wins. In the event of a tie, the contestant will compete in a ‘Supreme Heat Runoff’ to determine the winner. For more rules and information and to register to enter the Wing Eating Competition, click HERE.
  • The competition consists of three rounds: Round 1: 15 wings – medium, Round 2: 10 Wings – Hot and Round 3: 5 wings – flaming
  • Registration starts: 10:45 am
  • Competition starts: 11:45 am
