Jenik, a 23-year-old Czech, has played 22 games for the Arizona Coyotes over the past four seasons, recording four goals and two assists. He was originally drafted by Arizona in the third round of the 2018 NHL Entry Draft. Sokolov, a 24-year-old Russian, has appeared in 13 games for the Senators over the past two seasons, totaling one goal and one assist. He was drafted by Ottawa in the second round of the 2020 NHL Entry Draft.

The Ottawa Senators acquired Jan Jenik from the Utah Hockey Club on Wednesday in exchange for forward Egor Sokolov.

The 23-year-old Jenik has scored four goals and added two assists in 22 games for the Arizona Coyotes over the past four seasons.

Arizona drafted the Czech in the third round in 2018.

The 24-year-old Sokolov had one goal and one assist in 13 games for the Senators in the 2021-22 and 2022-23 seasons.

Ottawa drafted the Russian in the second round of 2020.
