This initiative, which will run from July to December 2024, will enable soldiers to complete all necessary tests, including eye tests and internal and external field tests, within a single day. “This one-day testing service has been designed to save time and effort for National Service personnel, eliminating the need to wait several days for a driving license,” stated Colonel Saqir bin Sultan Al-Qasimi, Director of the Machinery and Driving License Department at Ras Al Khaimah Police. To participate in this initiative, eligible learner drivers must submit an application form through the Ministry of the Interior (MoI). It is important to note that applicants must successfully complete the online theory section before being permitted to take the physical driving test. Similar initiatives have also been launched in Fujairah and Sharjah, further demonstrating the commitment to enhance accessibility and convenience for national service recruits in the UAE.

The Ras Al Khaimah Police, through the Traffic and Driving Licensing Centre of the Vehicle and Driving Licensing Department, announced on Wednesday, July 3, the launch of an initiative for a ‘one-day test’ to obtain a driving license for national service recruits.

The initiative, which runs from July to December 2024, will offer soldiers the opportunity to undergo eye tests and internal and external field tests in one day.

“A one-day testing service has been set up to save time and effort for National Service personnel, instead of having to wait for several days to get a driving license,” said Colonel Saqir bin Sultan Al-Qasimi, director of the Machinery and Driving License Department at Ras Al Khaimah Police.

Eligible learner drivers can apply via the application form at the Ministry of the Interior (MoI).

You can only take the physical driving test after you have successfully completed the online theory section.

A similar initiative was launched in Fujairah and Sharjah.
